Orange County’s level of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) ranks 2nd in the state in terms of the number of jobs created and the number of Foreign-Owned Enterprises (FOEs). Currently, there are about 2,000 FOEs from 46 different countries that support over 100,000 jobs. Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Ireland, and Korea are among the top contributing countries for FDI in the county, while wholesale trade, metal and mineral manufacturing, professional services, retail, and administrative support make up the top sectors for FDI.
