Orange County’s Unemployment Rate Continues to Fall

OC’s unemployment rate has dropped from 3.0% in November to 2.5% this December. In that time, 4,000 nonfarm jobs were gained, most of which came from the trade, transportation, and utilities sector. Furthermore, Orange County has attained 70,300 jobs in the past year since December 2021.
Orange County now employs 1.7 million, which means they have “surpassed the February 2020 pre-pandemic employment level of 1.68 million.”
