Santa Ana-based Overair Inc. is expanding its international partnerships to enhance its fleet of flying taxis. The company, known for its inaugural vehicle Butterfly, is targeting the emerging Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) market in South Korea, signing a letter of intent with HeliKorea to purchase 20 all-electric Butterfly airborne vehicles. Overair has also entered into agreements with Daewoo Engineering & Construction and the Korean Police. Concurrently, the company is collaborating with Los Angeles to introduce flying taxis before the 2028 Olympics to alleviate traffic issues. Overair aims to start testing the Butterfly taxi next year, with commercial service slated for 2027. The Butterfly is designed for various applications, including passenger transport, medical, executive, cargo transport, firefighting, and law enforcement activities, showcasing the company's diverse transportation capabilities.
